I can't tell you... how many copies of "Katherine" I have rescued off of Ebay! The thought of the fictional story of real life lovers John of Gaunt and Katherine Swynford just sitting unwanted in someone's space is very unsettling to me. The novel written in 1954 is timeless, and finds new fans every day from all over the world, I know because many have told me so! They have signed my Guest Book on a website I made for this novel or had joined a Yahoo Group I created to talk about this wonderful book. Now you can wear the Roet Coat of Arms with the three Catherine wheels, exactly as described when we read, in the book, about John of Gaunt designing it for Katherine

 





Born in NY, NY, she did not produce her first book until age 37.  Noted for her detailed research, her Historical Fiction novels produced two successful films "Dragonwyck" and "Foxfire".  Why "Katherine" has never been made into a movie is beyond me, it certainly has the following.
